Glen Lawrence Golf Club is the second oldest course in Kingston. It is certainly the most challenging: an 18 hole links-style course with over 6,500 yards, undulating play, par 71 . Golf Digest has rated Glen Lawrence among the top ten places to play in Eastern Ontario. In 2008 the Membership opportunity returned to Glen Lawrence. Existing Members have first priority to renew their Membership at Glen Lawrence. For details on how to become a new Member for 2011, please call Tony Lightbody at 613-545-1021. The Glen has one of the best Membership rates available in the area either walking or including use of a power cart. Green fee play is, of course, also still available. Tee times can be booked on line 24/7 or call us at 613-545-1021 to schedule your preferred time. If you play as few as five rounds in a season you have the opportunity to save on a per round basis on your green fee pricing by purchasing a "Five Pack" pass booklet. Also available, is an 18 Hole Five Play Pass Booklet with Power Cart and three forty-five minute lessons with The Glen's own teaching Pro, Curtis Bowerman. These passes are not transferable. The Glen presents challenging play for all golfers, from beginner to pro.
Our 2010 power cart fleet expanded again last year to ensure a riding option for those golfers who prefer to drive. Our power carts are all equipped with GPS to take the guess out of your golf experience. For those who love to walk, our pull-carts are always complimentary!
A giant outdoor patio with seating capacity of over 200 was built in 2009. Overlooking the scenic back nine of The Glen, and surrounded by award winning gardens, The Grill at The Glen offers casual dining with amazing Spring, Fall and regular Summer Menu selections. The Grill at The Glen is open to the public for lunch and dinner seven days a week during the golf season.
The Grill at The Glen is also available for special events. Besides the traditional golf tournament, we also host weddings, bridal showers, anniversary, birthday, and retirement parties, charity events, corporate events, meetings, wine tastings, concerts, fashion shows and celebrations of life. We are open to your suggestions!
